Description

Yes - I am obsessed with The House of Night series and Yes - I am a freak for doing this, but I could not care less. Haha.
I decided to draw my own designs of marks on my hand.

I love the House of Night series, I think they are fantastic! I am so excited for Hidden coming out! I would recommend to anyone to read the House of Night, even though I have only read Marked and Betrayed, but I am completely hooked on them and I cannot wait to start reading Chosen tonight.

I have made up some of the meanings for the symbols but some are from the house of night. :) Here they are:

The spirals form into vines that go around my hand represent complications of life and the many paths it take us on.

The arrows represent the choices in life we have to make to choose the paths we take.

The symbol below Nyx represents the fire element.

(Yes - This is from The House of Night Series) The symbol of woman holding the moon represents Nyx, the great goddess and mother of all the vampyres and fledglings.

The spirals and vines on my middle finger represent the paths we choose in lives with it gets most complicated, that is why it is on my middle finger, which is the tallest finger because it is the most complicated part of life at its highest peak.

The upside down triangle with the circles represents the love for earth, but it also represent the a barricade in life. Something happens/going to happen that stops you from doing something(s).

The crow/bird represents death, evil, darkness. Someone is going to die, possibly the person who has this symbol. It also means something bad is going to happen and you cannot stop it. "The darkness is coming..."

The paw print represents wolves/cats. The love for animals too. It could also mean the sign of a hybrid, half Vamyre-half werewolf.

The tear/blood drop represents sadness, but also could mean the love for the water. A water affinity. It also could symbolise a blood-lust. An almighty quench for blood that needs to be filled but you can never get it.

The eye represents the werewolves, but it could also symbolise a dark stranger that is about to appear into your life, possibly a lover. It could also symbolise the powers to see the future.

All of this depends on the fledgling these marks are on and their background/personality.
